Santiago A. Cueto

Founder

Board Certified International Attorney and founding partner Santiago A. Cueto focuses his practice on international business law with an emphasis on business law and international commercial litigation, corporate law, arbitration, and transactions. 

As a prominent Miami attorney, he has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Fox Business News, CNBC, Forbes, the National Law Journal, the Daily Business Review, the Miami Herald, the Los Angeles Business Journal, Sports Illustrated, Entrepreneur, PC World, and many other media outlets.

Santiago has represented Fortune 100 companies and foreign governments in a variety of complex commercial litigation and transaction matters.

Santiago’s international education and experience have served to counsel companies operating throughout the world. He currently serves as executive counsel to global supply and communications companies.

Juan Carlos Ramirez P, JD

Senior Law Clerk

Juan Carlos graduated from Universidad del Norte, Colombia, and obtained his license to practice Law from the Colombian Bar Association in 2008.  He earned a joint LL.M/J.D. degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 2021 where he focused his studies on Transactional Law, International Business, and a Concentration in Immigration, Asylum, and Citizenship Law.

During Law School, Juan Carlos volunteered at non-profit and pro-bono organizations where he assisted low-income clients in Immigration matters and proceedings before Federal Agencies.  He was part of the Maritime Law Society and the Miami Law International Arbitration Society.       

Juan Carlos has 12 years experience with a diverse background in public and private sectors in Colombia and U.S.  He is team-focused, effective at problem solving, understands a client's concerns and is fluent in both English and Spanish. 

Areas of expertise include Business Immigration Law, Cross Border Transactions, Business and Investor visas, Family and Employment-based petitions, and Corporate Law.

 

Daniel E. Tropp

Attorney and Counselor

Daniel is a highly experienced legal professional with over 30 years of experience as a member in good standing with the Florida Bar and United States District Court Southern District of Florida.

Daniel specializes in investigating and developing a strategic “theme” and sound pleading and motion strategies maximizing use of relevant Florida and Federal rules of civil procedure.

Daniel takes pride in offering his clients not only sound legal advice but also solid counsel that can withstand the test of time, final judgments, or dismissals.

He is fiercely loyal and committed to fulfilling his fiduciary duties to safeguard his clients' best interests, and possesses proficiency in plaintiff and defendant discovery, legal research and writing, as well as trial preparation.

 

Joel Careaga

Associate Attorney

Joel is a proud member in good standing with The Florida Bar. Joel earned his J.D degree from the Florida International University College of Law and successfully passed the Florida Bar in September, 2023.

Joel looks forward to applying what he has learned to make a positive impact in the legal community.

Joel's journey into the legal world began with over five years of dedicated service as a paralegal. During this time, he provided invaluable support for a wide range of civil and criminal litigation.


With a humble yet unwavering dedication to his craft, Joel is committed to upholding the highest standards of legal excellence at Cueto Law Group.

His extensive background as a paralegal has instilled in him a genuine empathy for the challenges faced by clients, driving him to relentlessly pursue their best interests.

Now, as an Associate Attorney for Cueto Law Group, Joel will leverage his top-tier education and practical experience into achieving favorable outcomes for his clients.

Santiago Daniel Paniagua, Esquire

Associate Attorney

Santiago is a dual licensed attorney in the State of Florida, United States, and in the country of Bolivia.

Santiago has experience with cross border international transactions, corporate and transactional law, arbitration and wealth management.

Santiago completed an LL.M. in International Arbitration (2016-2017) and a Juris Doctor degree (2016-2018) from the University of Miami School of Law.

During his academic studies in the United States, he realized internship as a law clerk for the judge Migna Sanchez – Llorens. Division: Circuit Civil, an internship for an International Arbitration Firm Astigarraga Davis and an internship for the State Attorney Office. These experiences were focused to sharpen his dispute resolution skills to later be applied in a business and commercial setting.

Prior to enrolling in the degree Juris Doctor Degree and LL.M. program at University of Miami School of Law, Santiago obtained another LL.M. degree at the Universidad Austral, Buenos Aires, Argentina, with a specialization in Corporate Law and Intellectual Property (2013-2015).

His objective was to have a better understanding of international business transactions, corporate law and intellectual property within Latin America. During his time at Buenos Aires, Argentina he had work experiences with intellectual property, corporate law, and international transactions.

In 2008, Santiago graduated as an attorney at the Catholic Bolivian University (2008) graduated with summa cum laude (top 1%). During his time as a partner in Bolivia, he was appointed as a legal counsel to several national and international companies. His responsibilities included advising national and international clients on matters involving international business, complex transactions, intellectual property, real estate, collection action, and drafting and negotiating of complex contracts and corporate law matters.

Santiago has 10 years of work experience working with international business transaction and corporate matters with clients from Bolivia, Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, Singapore and in the United States.

In addition to his education, experience, and passion for business law, Santiago possesses a deep commitment to justice and a strong belief in the importance of giving back.
